FOOD!! FOod!! foOD!!!

I chose to stay in the city center where I can access to anywhere easily with subway station just right in front of my guesthouse. Most important, Nampo-dong is just right opposite where I stay!! *damn proud cause this is the first time i plan everything by myself!*

So after dropping my luggage and wash up, I immediately head out to the night market which is just 3min walk away from the guesthouse. This is what I see the moment I walk in the market! FOOD!!!!!

I love local authentic korean food so so much especially 떡볶이 spicy teokbokki (korean rice cake).

the moment I walk into Nampo-dong, I can't remove my eyes away from all these mouth watering food, especially when it is in red and dark orange color! (cause I love spicy food so so much, 无辣不欢!!).

We order Kimbab and teokbokki

Obviously I super enjoyed with the food right!!! So while we happily finished our food and was asking the price to pay for the food, the ajuma count and said Man Won (10,000won) which is RM30. Me and Matthias immediately look at each other with our big round eyes. ok la literally is like this:

Then Matthias ask for each item's price and this ajuma simply just list out the price of this two food. Wtf can sumore say it one by one. Fine!! we obviously got con by this aunty!!! ok la who ask us is tourist. Like VS said we are tourist sure will kena con one. Fine! so people please be aware if you come here. ASK FOR THE PRICE BEFORE YOU ORDER!! fuck, i can't even calm down and i keep telling Matthias how can we be so stupid got con by an old lady wtf!.

So we continue to walk around and i saw all these red ripe juicy strawberries!! Is so tempting and i so wanted to buy but someone say is not the season so is gonna be sour and expensive. sigh..... (sigh cause there are more unlucky things happen later fml..)

Then saw this super cute souvenir shop selling all these cute stuff so we just walk in to have a look. They sell cute cosmetics, cute accessories, cute candies, cute stationaries, cute toys, cute electronic, cute couple-t, cute etc etc.. everything is so cute to me la. So i was looking at all these CUTE hairbands and I was about to get few of them, then i realize they are quite expensive wtf. 30 ringgit plus for one hairband.... need or not wor??? siao meh, i rather take this 30 ringgit and eat another con teokbokki okay! (ya I'm cheap like that fml).

and then i also saw this super cute and tiny hello kitty weighing machine.

So we continue our eating tour after this little break for our stomach. and then i saw this! Okonomiyaki
yes yes i know is japanese food lar..

Omg this thing is super duper awesome ok! so damn delicious. When i told Matthias i would like to tried this he was like... meh~ is japanese food you know that? then i was like saying i know but so many people buying it must be nice why dont we just try it?! Then the moment we put this in our mouth, our eyes went big and round! hahahhaa..

And then we move to the next stall which having a super long queue.

And this is what we are queuing for! Hot Teok!
They made the dough on the spot and throw it into the oil pan to fry immediately, so is fresh and hot! i see the aunty like putting in some sugar and cinnamon powder into the dough and wrap it up before throwing into the pan, so i guess that is what makes the dough smell so nice and sweet.

then before they serve the customer, this girl is filling in some sunflower seed and other mixed nuts.

You know the feeling of putting the food into your mouth immediately when the food is served. LOL~ then only i realize i have to take a photo of it!

We was eating and walking around again and then I saw this - not so good looking - 'ice kacang' ~ Pak Ping Su

Ok la no comment for this cause is just thick red bean with... not so smooth ice flakes thats all..

then finally i feel a little full, so i start to shop around. I can't believe their cloths is so damn cheap! sorry la i forgot to snap picture of the shops and environment cause when a shopaholic starts her shopping spread, she won't bother about anything else.

Ok la here is a photo of me with Nampo-dong.

While we were still walking, i suddenly got a serious leg cramp. it was so painful that my toe almost tangled together! it might sounds funny but NOT JOKING OK MY TOE GOT TANGLED TOGETHER. i mean, Almost. LOL. I was literally holding Matthias arm and walk and i almost ask him to carry me and walk already.

then we went into starbucks and take a short rest for my tangled toe.
So here is a photo of me with a sweet smile while my toe is still untangled and my foot are still in pain.
and my tour guide happily pressing his phone
So while on our way back to guest house, i saw this super cute poodle with purple ears and tail. I was like keep shouting i wanna take photo with him i wanna take photo with him. then of course my live translator see me so excited, so he went to the owner and asked if i could take a photo of me and the dog. The owner didn't even hesitate immediately nod his head. i was like immediately get near the dog and see if it bites then i carry the dog. so cute hor!!
Ok la thats all for the first day in Busan.

We have got a lots of plan for the second day but Busan love me so much that it feel touched that i visited the place out of the sudden and it decided to just rain with strong wind for the next two days. I will tell you how unlucky i am for the next post FML.

till then. <3

From Incheon Airport To Busan

This is the signboard i saw the moment i step out from the plane. I was like SEIOUSLY? I'M HERE?? and it all went super overwhelmed when people around me were speaking korean. Is like I'm watching reality show at home through my laptop but without the subtitles under the screen.. LOL.. apparently I'm able to understand a little korean when they speaks to me. Thanks to my everyday routine of watching korean show and listening to song

So this was in the arrival hall and everyone is wearing long pants with jacket cause i was smart enough to forget to brought along jacket and i shivered all the way from Malaysia to Seoul with my empty stomach and of course i didn't catch much sleep.

So after all the usual airport procedure, I grab my luggage and walking towards the arrival hall. I'm not worried about what to do next as this super cute 동생 send me such a details step by step of how to travel from Incheon Airport to Busan.

Once I get out from the arrival hall, I follow the instruction that 동생 given to me and went to the KTX (Korean Train Express) counter to get my ticket from Incheon Airport - Seoul Station - Busan Station. If you don't speak korean, don't worry, as you are still in airport area, most of the staff in airport are able to speak a little English. The receptionist was so friendly that she arrange the time with the cheapest ticket that i could get for me and trying very hard to explain to me why she chose this time for me and how do i travel from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station to Busan.

She even circle the time and places that i will have to arrive and depart. Korean are just so friendly and helpful! by the way, this ticket cost 64,200won (about RM180) which include subway ticket from Incheon Airport to Seoul Stationand KTX from Seoul Station to Busan. I know right is a little pricy.

I was exhausted after whole night of suffering on the plane. This is the pale me sitting at the airport hall waiting for time to pass. The most torturing moment during travel was to wait for time to past.

After some rest, I continue to walk from the airport to subway station. All the signboard are written in English, Japanese and Mandarin, I am not worry that I will get lost!

This is what I get after showing the printed ticket to the person before passing the gate to subway.

Subway entrance from the Airport.

I got so hungry and I went in to a convenient store to get some sandwich. I grab a sandwich and was about to pay, this ajussi speak something in korean and i gave him this "huh?" look, and he was like are you korean (in korean of course, cause i was able to understand a little), then i reply in english saying 'no' :) then he continue say 'free! free!' and pointing to the sandwich and the drinks... i was like oh.... he meant I can have a free drinks with purchasing the sandwich! so nice right, u get a free drink with just buying a sandwich! Malaysia got so good or not u tell me!!! Then ajussi continue to speak to me in his broken english asking me where am i from? and do i travel here alone and stuff. 아저씨 너무 귀여워. after greeting 감사합니다 with a 90 degree bow, i walk towards the railway and enjoy my first meal in Korea~

In the subway train

So this is how the train looks like, so clean and neat! Cause i bought express ticket which normally korean will only took the normal train, so this train is so quiet that i can only heard myself talking with a new Indonesian friend i met in the subway.

About 40min travel (although it is express wtf), i finally arrive at Seoul Station!

So when i was walking towards my train to Busan, this girl came up to me and speak in Korean which I don't understand at all, then she realize I'm not korean and start to speak in english :" i want take picture... you... okay?" i was like huh why?? for what?? then she was scratching her head and say:" i student.... photography... work... school...." then scratching her head again. So i was guessing she mean she is a photography student who needs to capture some picture of someone (me? with a super pale face that travel in the train station wtf?) then I smile to her and say "ok ok, can can" so she smile and keep staying thank you thank you and all. LOL... then i request a photo of her and me. :)

I was so tired the moment i step into the train and this is the only photo I got before I fall into deep sleep~

After about 3 hours 15min train, I finally arrive in Busan station. 동생 was there waiting for me at the arrival hall to pick me up. :)
some shops in Busan Station
This is how Busan Station looks from the outside!

Then we walk towards the subway station to get our ticket to travel to the guest house

This is how the ticket machine looks like. Ya is in korean but don't worry there are language selection that you can choose english. cause my 동생 was able to read korean so he bought the ticket without any difficulty.

I forgot to took photo after this so i just travel from Busan station to our guesthouse thats all! LOL.

Next post. delicious korean food i had for the first day! Stay tune! <3
